What procedure is required to be followed to change a Student visa into a Culture/International visa?

Question
I came from Taiwan (China) and am studying economics at a graduate school in Japan. I was asked to work at a company where I worked as an intern last year and the company promised me employment. The company is a car parts manufacturer and is planning to build a factory in Taiwan in a year's time. My first role will involve dealing with business partners in Taiwan. So, please advise me on the procedure to change my visa at the Immigration office.

Answer
Since your job seems to involve interpreting, translation of various contracts, and international trade business, the visa you will require is a Specialist in Humanities / International Services. You will not be able to obtain a certificate to show your completion of graduate school until the end of March and therefore, please obtain a certificate for the expected completion of your graduate school course. Apply at the Immigration office to do this. After receiving a notice of permission, take your passport together with the certificate of course completion to the Immigration office and apply for the visa. The following documents are required for the application.

1. Application for the change of eligibility

2. Certificate for the expected completion of your course (when completed, the certificate for completion and certificate of your academic degree)

3. Resume

4. Copy of company registration, company outline, copy of the newest P/L (Profit/Loss)

5. Company's business plan in Taiwan

6. Contract from the company describing your work, employment period, position and payment.
