How to Hire a Housemaid?

Question
I’m from Texas, USA and an executive member of a company. At present I have the visa status of “Specialist in Humanities/International Services” (with a three-year term of residence). I also have a two-year-old and a four-year-old child and due to special circumstances I hope to hire a housemaid. My friend recently introduced me to a very generous Filipino, who I want to hire immediately, but I need advice on how to arrange for her to obtain a visa.

Answer
There are definitely many Filipinos who have obtained the specified visa of “Designated Activities” and are working to help those who are very busy, bring up their children.

However, with your present visa status, it is impossible for you to hire a housemaid. There are many qualifications that need to be met in order to hire a housemaid, so if you want to sponsor her, you need the visa status of either “Legal/Accounting Services” or “Investor/Business Manager.”

Fortunately, since you are an executive company member, there is the possibility for you to change your visa status to that of “Investor Business Manager.” Before advising you, we need to know more information, including your company’s capital status, your position and your employment conditions.
