Museum that Teaches the History of Railways Through Hands-on Experience
The Railway Museum

This museum contains many enjoyable facilities that everybody young and old can see and touch, including a driving simulator that allows people to experience driving a train, the largest railway model diorama in Japan, and other train-related exhibits. On display in the history zone, which occupies half the main hall, are exhibits and displays showing the history and mechanics of railways in a way that is easy to understand, including the main exhibit of real train carriages. Furthermore, in the Learning Zone you can study the principles and the structures of railways by using actual parts and models.

Admission fee: Adults 1,000 yen
Closed: Every Tuesday, Year End and New Year (Dec. 29 ~ Jan. 2)
Opening hours: 10:00 ~ 18:00

Explanations of exhibits are provided in Japanese.
English, Chinese and Korean Explanations are available via QR Code and description card.
