School Outline and Education Method
Since being established in 1988, approximately 450 students from all over the world continuously study at either their boarding school, or their newest school facility. Additionally, in 2008 they jointly ran the Tokyo branch of “YIEA Tokyo Academy,” where the goal is to do more than just teach the Japanese language. YIEA encourages their students to become active members of society while continuously developing their globally conscious personalities.

Lesson Features
They maintain a high level of study-effectiveness by placing their students into appropriate class levels. They use techniques that enable their students to successfully pass examinations such as the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students and the Japanese Language Proficiency Test grade 1., while also further encouraging them to pursue higher education, including graduate school, university and/or vocational school. Their strength is focusing on their students’ conversation abilities, and equipping them with communication skills equivalent to that of native Japanese speakers.

YIEA makes both students’ academic and social lives more enjoyable by organizing a variety of cultural events, including speech contests and student exchange programs.

Pre-College Course

Enrollment Requirements Those who have completed a minimum of 12 years of formal
schooling, or those who have an equivalent knowledge and can
submit certification for it.
Designed for YIEA supports students who are attending university, graduate
school and vocational school, while also helping all students to
pass the Examination for Japanese University Admission for
International Students and the Japanese Language Proficiency
Test grade 1.
Feature of the Course 1. Through vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, composition,
listening and conversation exercises, students will acquire the ability
to comprehend, speak, read and write Japanese.
2. Repeated study of basic Japanese for the purpose of passing the
first and second certificate level of the Japanese Language
Proficiency Test.
3. They emphasize learning the skills to pass both mock and real
exams.     
4. In order to attend university, students can choose supplementary
studies of basic subjects. physics, mathematics and overall
subjects for basic subjects for “Examination for Japanese University
Admission for International Students.”
5. Students will learn how to write a short entrance exam essays
and practice interview techniques.

Private and semi-private lassons

Designed for The school will enable to offer various lessons the students need
including g a conversation, a business conversation, a business
sentence and academic supplementary practice.

Private lesson is man-to-man lesson and semi-private lesson is
given to a group of 2 to 4 students.  Before taking lessons, they will
check your Japanese ability and after hearing your purpose of study
and future goal, they will select the suitable texts and give you a
lesson that you need.
