School Outline and Education Method
Every class is small-sized and multinational. Our vivid and practical conversation lessons are not only for learning practical conversational skills but also for success in Japanese proficiency test 1-2kyu. Mutual cultural understanding between Japan and student's own country is another goal in studying languages. As Shibuya Language School is offering more than 10 different languages, it is one of the attractions for foreign students to have many opportunities for casual exchange with Japanese students.

Lesson Features
A direct method is adopted for the full-time course in team-teaching system by 3-4 teachers. For the part-time course, the curriculm and teaching staff will be flexibly arranged according to the students' needs or objectives. The curriculum of both the full-time and part-time courses is aimed at helping students learn practical Japanese. Shorter term can be arranged if requested individually. Each course has 9 levels from basic to superative.

Teachers Voice

  Student's Voice
Shibuya Language School is not a big school, but we have a cosmopolitan atmosphere. At present, students from 19 countries are studying Japanese at our school; Italy, Finland, Sweden, Thailand, etc. It is necessary for the Japanese learners to improve their language skills step by step in each field of reading, writing, listening and speaking. At Shibuya Language School you will surely find yourself enjoying studying Japanese given our openhearted and courteous attention. We are confident that after your effort you will be able to speak natural and beautiful Japanese. Being close to Shibuya station, it is quite convenient to commute or enjoy your private time after school. We hope you will join us in our easy and friendly class soon.

I first came to Japan two years ago with my friends. It was only a 3-monthstay, but we had a wonderful time. Nine months later, I graduated from Venezia University and came back to Tokyo. Now I have been living in Tokyo for one year and could pass the Japanese Language Proficiency Test 2-kyulevel. So, my next target is 1kyu. The lessons at SLS are quite tough, but I am enjoying them. Teachers are kind and helpful to every student. I am really grateful to my teacher for cheering me up when I took the JLPT. (Laura Mossenta from Italy)
