Financial Consulting for Retirement Objective Trading, Ltd. As the number of retiring baby boomers in Japan increases, we are faced with a number of financial considerations. These days there are fewer young people around to support their parents in retirement. Furthermore, the Japanese bank rate is near zero and the Social Insurance Agency has not inspired a lot of confidence recently. Under such circumstances, a financial consulting company can be your reliable partner. Objective Trading Ltd. helps people with financial consulting and financial planning. Clients are taught how to identify what standard of living they want to enjoy when they retire, and shown how to develop a plan to enjoy a successful retirement. The company also researches financial solutions so the client can enjoy a safe, diversified portfolio. Managing Director Matthew MURRAY, a Canadian, came to Japan in 1995. In university he was very passionate about aikido and when he graduated he knew he wanted to come to Japan to study under the best aikidoka on the planet. Matthew enrolled at the Yoshinkan Aikido headquarters and for his first several years in Japan he was at the dojo between 30 and 40 hours a week. He taught English in the evenings to support himself. During this period Matthew began to study finance and develop his earliest investment models. After several years of study he decided it was time to apply his investment theories in the real world. He quit his job and began to trade U.S. equities. Of course, the U.S. market is open during the night time in Japan, so he spent the daytime writing computer trading models and running data through simulations. As his trading skills improved Matthew required increasingly more sophisticated trading resources. Much of what he was looking for did not exist in Japan, so he had to develop it himself. Other traders heard about what he was doing and asked if they could use his systems. He was happy to share with them and this was how Objective Trading was born. “At first, I was a little confused by Japanese business culture. When dealing with existing or potential foreign business partners it is often much easier to gauge their level of interest in moving a project forwards. In Japan, some executives are reluctant to say ‘no’ and after the initial meeting I am not always certain of their level of commitment. And in some cases I have misinterpreted what the executive was trying to communicate. This is known as ‘honne and tatemae,’ isn’t it?” said Matthew in his fluent Japanese. Regardless of nationality, everyone has the same core financial
concerns. Objective Trading offers many of its services
free of charge, which is why different nationalities including
Japanese, Americans, Europeans, Indians, and Filipinos all
feel comfortable contacting Objective Trading for assistance.
Client ages range from people in their 20s to people who
have already retired. “By eliminating most of the
direct costs to clients we are able to help people who otherwise
wouldn’t be able to afford our services,” Matthew
says with a smile. Objective Trading, Ltd. |
