The Destiny of Human Beings

Hiragana Times recently interviewed Dr. Richard DARWIN, descendant of Charles Darwin, famed for his theory of evolution. Dr. Darwin is now writing a sensational book "The Future of Species" which will be published soon.

CIA: What is contained in "The Future of Species"?

Dr. Darwin: My ancestor Charles produced "The Origin of Species" in 1859, and it has since been widely accepted that mankind evolved from monkeys. Living creatures that originally roamed the Earth have been evolving little by little over the centuries and some have survived up to now. During this period, many creatures went through the process of "natural selection." This process happens continuously. "The Future of Species" is a theoretical forecast based on current data that predicts how human beings will change.

CIA: It sounds interesting. How do human beings change?

Dr. Darwin: I can't offer details at the moment, but if you study recent politicians, you may be able to predict what will happen. Ever since mankind first appeared on Earth, wars have been fought, even until now. It is clear that like other animals, human beings are carrying DNA which can lead us to violence and conflict. This DNA is much stronger than the DNA which controls reasoned thinking that has evolved along with the development of harmonious group living.

In order to survive, creatures have to have something to eat. Animals that eat grass roam the land searching for food while flesh-eating animals survive by eating weaker creatures. All the creatures now in existence such as birds, insects, fish and wild beasts have developed special abilities to adapt themselves to survive in harsh environments.

Human beings developed greater intelligence and thus reached the highest state of development. But their instinct is the same as the power game played out by monkeys. World leaders have been developing more powerful weapons and trying to expand their territories. Female monkeys are attracted to the boss monkey to get his strong DNA. The male monkeys who cannot be No. 1 flatter the boss and try to get his leftovers. Every monkey tries to create a system for their benefit.

CIA: Doctor, are you saying that the law of the jungle prevails in human beings even now?

Dr. Darwin: I am afraid so. There was a scholar named Alfred WALLACE who also created a theory of evolution at the same time as Charles Darwin, but Charles monopolized the glory. Charles's cunning abilities have been passed down to me through his DNA. Like me, only those human beings with DNA that makes them experts at deceiving others, have survived. You will understand my theory better when you look at world leaders.

A good example is the leaders of communist countries that advocated an equal world for all. What has become of the leaders who ruled those countries? They became sovereign rulers like those who ruled in feudal times. Stalin, Pol Pot and other dictators walked the same road. After all, those who had enough talent to cheat people ruled the world. Unfortunately, this DNA has been passed on to other generations. The more history unfolds, the more cunning DNA developed, just like influenza
