The Daita International Nagauta Kai would like to invite you to a very special performance event; “An Afternoon of Japanese Music.”

The program includes pieces performed on shamisen, takebue and Nohkan (flute), koto, and drums. There will also be examples of both buyo (traditional dance) and Noh.

The concert features a unique mix of Japanese and foreign musicians, both amateur and professional. Short explanations will be given before each piece in both Japanese and English.
This is a wonderful way to help introduce you to the world of traditional Japanese music, and to emonstrate to them that traditional music is also accessible to foreigners.

The event will take place at the Umewaka Nohgaku Gakuin on Sunday, June 1 at 3:00PM.
