Ongakuza’s Musical “Metro ni Notte” (Riding on the Metro) Comes to the Screen

Ongakuza's musical Metro ni Notte has been made into a movie.
KONUMA Shinji is a middle-aged business man who works for a small clothing company. His father is KONUMA Sakichi, who started the Konuma Group, which in the story becomes famous around the world. Under normal circumstances, Shinji would take over the business, but he was offended by his dictatorial father and moved out of the family home. One night, as he is climbing the stairs of a subway station, the story goes back to same day in Showa 39 (1964) - the day his elder brother, Shouichi, committed suicide.
This musical masterpiece, which the original author, ASADA Jiro extolled as "200% satisfaction!" is revived as a visually stunning movie.

The movie will open to the public from May 2008 in movie theaters across the country.
