Somebody is in my room!
"A thief is in my room!" she whispered. She said that after seeing off her husband, a Japanese salary man, she locked the door and went shopping for about 30 minutes. On returning home, she tried to open the door with her key, but found it was already unlocked. While wondering what had happened, she heard some noises coming from inside the room. "No one has the key except my husband and me. It must be a thief. I called my husband's cellular phone but unfortunately it was turned off. He must be on a train. I'm scared. Please help me." she said. "You had better call the police," I suggested, but she shook her head and replied "We are not officially married yet. I don't want to get involved in any visa problems." It seemed her visa had expired. I did not have time to ask her for details; I just had to think what to do. "Anyway come with me!" she said, pulling my hand. When we stood in front of the door, we were scared. She dared to open it. There were signs that somebody was inside. She shouted "Hey, you!" A startled man turned around - it was her husband. "What are you doing here?" "I failed to bring my company's important file and my cellular phone. So I have just came back. What is the problem?" My friend and I looked at each other and laughed. |
When
I was taking a morning nap after seeing my husband off,
the buzzer of our room rang several times at short intervals.
It seemed unusual. I rushed to the door and opened it. The
visitor, an Asian wife who is a good friend of mine and
lives next door, came in with a pale face.
