にほん　では　ちかてつ(subway) が　はったつ　しています。ホーム（platform）　へ　は　かいだん (stairs) 　の　ほかに　エスカレーターを　りよう　できます。にほん　では　エスカレーター　の　ひだり・がわ　に　たちます。みぎ・がわは　おいこす(passing)　ひと　の　ために　あけておく(open)　のが　じょうしき (common practice) に　なっています。　しかし、これは、にほん　だけ　と　ききました。あなたの　くに　では　どうですか？

日本　では　地下鉄(subway) が　発達　しています。ホーム（platform）　まで　は　階段 (stairs) 　の　ほかに　エスカレーターを　利用　できます。日本　では　エスカレーター　の　左側　に　立ちます。右側は　追い越す(passing)　人　の　ために　あけておく(open)　のが　常識 (common practice) に　なっています。　しかし、これは、日本　だけ　と　聞きました。あなたの　国　では　どうですか？
