The special exhibition “From Ukiyo-e to Photography: Cultural Awakening in Japan’s Visual Field” will be held between October 10 and December 6 at Edo Tokyo Museum (Sumida City, Tokyo Prefecture). Presenting a wide variety of ukiyo-e (Japanese woodblock prints) and photos, the exhibition will shed light on an aspect of Japan’s cultural modernization. A same-day ticket for the general public costs 1,350 yen and is limited to this exhibition only.
