Exhibition Takes the Theme of Grudges


A Ghost Before a Mosquito Net

“Urameshiya… Art of the Ghost” is being held at the University Art Museum, Tokyo University of the Arts (Ueno, Tokyo) from July 22 to September 13 (the first half is until August 16, the second half from August 18). The exhibition focuses on grudges portrayed in Japanese art with the majority of these images of ghosts taken from artworks owned by Zenshoan Temple (Yanaka, Tokyo). The display will include scary artworks and beautiful objects.

General admission is 1,100 yen at the door.
