New Urban Aquarium Opened

The “Epson Shinagawa Aqua Stadium” (Minato City, Tokyo Prefecture) was re-opened in July as “Epson Aqua Park Shinagawa.” Visitors can enjoy exhibits and attractions that employ sound, light, and video effects. Touch sensitive liquid crystal panels – the first of their kind in the world – are employed so that the octopuses on display are revealed when visitors slide their fingers across a black screen. This is the only aquarium in the world where a dwarf sawfish can be seen.

Admission: Adults 2,200 yen. Children 700 to 1,200 yen.
