Goldfish have been prized by the Japanese since the Edo era (17 – 19th century). The exhibition “ECO EDO Nihonbashi Art Aquarium 2014 – Cooling off with Edo and Goldfish – & Night Aquarium” is being held until September 23 at the Nihonbashi Mitsui Hall (Chuo Ward, Tokyo Prefecture). Using the latest light and imagery technology, the goldfish, in tanks designed to display Japanese patterns, are transformed into brightly colored works of art. The music and illuminations change at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets on the day: 1,000 yen for adults.
